Guardia Civil in Almeria are investigating the discovery of two bodies in two seperate cases opened yesterday.
The first was a man identified as a well-known farmer and whose body shows signs of violence and the other, an elderly woman who could have died up to two months ago, whose body was found alongside a highway.
The man's death occurred in Níjar and the victim has been identified as Francisco LP, a well-known local farmer. Locals have said they are horrified at the discovery of his body, which shows clear sign of violence.
The body has been found in the hamlet of San Isidro, an area devoted to growing fruit and vegetables in greenhouses.
The woman's body found at the height of kilometer 446 of the A-7, Huércal de Almeria, and corresponds to a person between sixty and seventy years of age. The body was found yesterday afternoon by a rambler in a ravine and the victim has not yet been identified. Doctors believe she could have been dead between two and three months, but will not say anything more until the forensic evidence is analysed.
